Big Dutchman offers an extensive product range of exhaust air chimneys and corresponding chimney fans.
Farmers want to ensure that exhaust air extraction is ideally matched to their animals’ needs. With flow-optimised chimneys, the fan’s air flow rate improves, making the exhaust air volume flow especially efficient.
The blades are made of aluminium in a moulded die-casting process and are therefore tough against severely cold conditions and resistant to corrosion. Due to their aerodynamic shape, they are even more efficient and resistant to pressure, producing less noise than traditional fans.
We are seeing more farmers install CL 600 and CL 820 exhaust air chimneys into a gable end or side wall of their barn. Compared to simple wall fans, wall chimneys allow you to control the exhaust air volume flow more precisely, as well as being less susceptible to wind.
If you are looking for a chimney for fresh air, mixed air and recirculated air, Fumus 3 is the latest model in the range. Equipped with a fan in the lower part of the chimney as standard, it pushes the fresh air drawn in by the chimney through the fresh air distributor and into the building, whilst the butterfly valve above the fan regulates the amount of fresh air entering the house.
The position of the valve controls how much fresh and recirculated air is drawn into the building. The mix can be anywhere between 100 per cent fresh air and 100 per cent recirculated air. With this control system, the house can therefore be adequately ventilated using fresh air, a mixture of fresh and recirculated air, or just recirculated air.
