For decades, Big Dutchman has recognised the importance of getting the lighting right for laying birds, so these flexible LED tube lamps have been designed for maximum versatility.

Lightweight and available in four tube lengths, the main cable runs through the entire house, just outside of the bird area, to ensure efficient and economical illumination. In layer systems, it is positioned to keep the nest area dark, so the birds remain undisturbed during the laying period whilst providing ample light to the rest of the system.

Built using the plug & play principle, there are no plug connections, so the entire power remains in the main line. This makes installation easier, as well as having the option of retrofitting additional Flex Led tube lamps at a later point.

Our customers appreciate the advantage of having flicker-free, even light distribution, with no harsh shadows, even at a low light intensity. One farmer told us, “Having zero flickering is very important to make sure the environment is right for our birds. The LED technology is also dimmable so we can have full control of the light distribution in our poultry shed.”

With the ability to switch between warm white, red light or mixed light, farmers are able to maximise egg production by monitoring the different light spectrums. This is a huge consideration from an animal welfare perspective, as optimum lighting helps to promote a stress-free environment for the birds.
